Erik Jones currently drived of the No. 77 Toyota for Furniture Row Racing. However, he was more or less a lease to that team.

Joe Gibbs Racing simply didn’t have a seat for Jones in 2017. They leased him to Furniture Row, allowing the JGR driver to be primed for full time racing.

Jones will now officially take over for Matt Kenseth, who has driven the No. 20 for JGR since 2013.

2017 is the first season in the Monster Energy Series for Jones. He has five top-10 finishes in the first 18 races. He best finish to date is 3rd, which he collected at Pocono Raceway.
