Penalty pending for Kyle Busch after Pocono Raceway post-race inspection

Kyle Busch won the race today at Pocono Raceway. His first win of the 2017 season and the 100th win for Toyota.

However, upon his drive to victory lane, lug nuts are checked.

Officials pointed and declared an infraction. More loose lug nuts for Kyle Busch. This time it was on the left rear.

This is at least the 3rd time this season that Kyle Busch has been hit with a fine for loose lug nuts following post-race inspection. Recently, the same thing happened at Sonoma and Kentucky.

It was just one lug nut that was loose on the #18 team fielded by Joe Gibbs Racing. The penalty for that is simply a fine of $10,000.

No official penalty has been announced as of yet. NASCAR will make those announcements on Tuesday or Wednesday of the coming week.
