“Well, we had good track position,” Matt Kenseth talks about his day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“I just couldn’t restart good. Every time we had a restart I’d lose anywhere from 1 to 4 spots. I felt like in [Turn] 1 and 2, no matter what lane I was in.”
“That really hurt us today with all the short runs at the end. I need to figure out how to get through the gears quicker and figure out how to get through the first set of corners quicker, the way a lot of these races play out.”
“Long run, I felt like we could run with the #18. As long as the distance wasn’t too big in the beginning.”
The championship
“If you can’t win you want to finish as high as you can. If you can’t run 2nd, you want to run 3rd.”
