Jimmie Johnson says a queue was given to work on the car following red flag
Jimmie Johnson was involved in one of the big crashes today at Talladega Superspeedway. He netted a finish of 24th.
However, it appears NASCAR is considering docking a few positions. They are stating that Team #48 worked on the car during the red flag. The rule states you’re not allowed to touch the car under red flag.
It happened after the big one at Talladega. The team might or might not have worked on the car under the red flag.

Jimmie Johnson explains Talladega red flag:
“The thing I’m most concerned with right now is there was a queue given to our spotter for our guys to start working on the car,” Jimmie Johnson tells the media after he left the infield care center.
“We went out and advanced quite a few spots as a result. It looks like NASCAR’s trying to take that away from us.”
“Us and a few other cars, heard the queue to allow guys to start working on the car. The red flag had been finished. But we did get the queue to start working on it. I’m still uncertain of all that went on.”
“But, I think we’re in a bad situation as a result. So, I hope that NASCAR can look at it and we can get this rectified.”
No public statement from NASCAR has been released. However, so far, Jimmie Johnson has maintained his 24th finishing position. He hasn’t been docked any positions.
