Dale Earnhardt Jr’s daughter could be born on Dale Earnhardt Sr’s birthday
Dale Earnhardt Jr announced that he and Amy Earnhardt are expecting a little girl. Last night, he gave some more details.
“Me and Amy are gunna have a little girl!,” Dale Earnhardt Jr excitedly states via the Dale Jr Download.
“We’re very excited. We’ve known for several weeks. I didn’t know what the protocol was, so I didn’t say what the due date was in our social media instagram post.”
I’m praying for April 29th, that’s my dad’s birthday.

“But, the due dates May 2nd. I’m praying for April 29th, that’s my dad’s birthday. That would be super cool. Apparently, in this day and age, they can make that happen. But, I’m just going to hope for a healthy birth and not ask for any favors.”
“Obviously, this is something I’ve been looking forward to all my life. Amy, obviously she’s excited as well. When we got married we had been talking about having kids. I’m 43, we just needed to get after it or not. We were gunna run out of time.”
“Amy’s telling me, ‘You can’t say anything. Can’t tell anybody.’ I kinda know this. But it’s really hard. You’re so excited, you want to share that news. Especially with like your mother, your sister.”
Did you tell everyone yesterday?
“Basically yeah. We told our immediate family, some friends. We tried to cover all the bases.”
“We get this email from the doctor. We got to the doctor to get some standard tests run and so fourth and then there’s a link in this email to understand the gender. We forwarded that to Amy’s sister. And Amy’s sister sent us the shoes.”
They didn’t know the gender until they opened the box of shoes. Then, Dale Earnhardt Jr tweeted the shoes to the world. “We just found out at the same time that everybody else did, that it was going to be a little girl,” Dale Earnhardt Jr describes.
“Secretly, I was hoping for a little girl. Because man, little boy’s – I just feel like I can’t screw a girl up. With Amy around, I ain’t gunna mess no girl up. Amy’s gunna make sure of that. I feel like raising a boy, your first child, you could potentially raise a little stinker. I want a sure win, the first go around.”
“There’s just so much emotion, you can’t explain it. And I imagine we haven’t even seen the whole Iceberg here. I can;t imagine what it’s gunna be like once we get down the line and we’re in the hospital and so fourth, going to the process of the birth and everything.”
“It’s just going to bigger than everything in life, ever.”
Pace car ride
At Martinsville, Amy Earnhardt is scheduled to drive the pace car. She will lead the field to the green flag after a request from Martinsville Speedway.

“There’s these apps. It’s kinda equates the size of the baby to a fruit. So, right now, it’s a little lime.”
“I said to Amy, ‘You’re gunna take a lime for a ride in the pace car. You’re gunna be able to tell the little lime one day that it actually got to ride in the pace car.’ ”
“When I was in my Moma’s belly, she took me for a ride in Dad’s race car. My dad took her around the race track, just kinda slow. This was 1974 and he was racing late models. He just took her for a ride for funzies.”
“What a coincidence. Amy will be taking the lime for a ride in the pace car.
