Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suárez and Martin Truex Jr built custom Toyota Camry’s
The customized Toyota Camry’s have been talked about for months. Yesterday, they were revealed.
The covers were removed at the SEMA show. The show is hosted in Las Vegas, NV. It’s billed as the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.
Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Daniel Suárez and Martin Truex Jr are all Toyota Racing drivers in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. They were asked to build their own customized Toyota Camry for the show. Rutledge Wood got in on the game as well.

“This one’s got some show and go to it as well. We just took some basic stock 3 inch flares then we made them to fit this car. For this car, there’s not a lot of aftermarket stuff available. We pretty much had to make everything from scratch.”

“This is the Rowdy edition #2. We got the splitter action up front, kinda exactly like we run on the Cup cars. Same material, all that stuff. We got some air intake in the hood to make sure we create that extra horsepower!”

“They kinda look magnesium but they’re American Racing. The cutouts are somewhat styled like the Cup car. The whole thing’s kinda styled around my #78 flat black car. Kinda stealthy, nothing crazy extravagant. Lots of flat.”

“I went wide body. But, we went crazy with a 3D printer. So, we actually scanned a different car, before we got this one so we could start working on the parts. We 3D printed the fender-flares, the entire front bumper.”
“I tried to take yall’s Cup car and make it look as close to the race car.”

This weekend, NASCAR heads to Texas Motor Speedway for the second race in the round of 8.
Martin Truex Jr, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin are all in the championship fight. Only 4 drivers will advance to the final round at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
