201 Speedway will become FASTRAK Weekly sanctioned in 2018
201 Speedway in Sitka, KY has become a FASTRAK Weekly Sanctioned track for the 2018 season. Competitors in the FASTRAK Pro Late Models at 201 Speedway will be eligible for points toward the $10,000 to win National Weekly Championship, provided they become FASTRAK members. They will also compete for a FASTRAK Divisional Championship, which groups tracks together based on geography. Each track in a division receives $1,000 toward the total points fund for the Division.
“I am beyond excited to bring FASTRAK to Kentucky,” said FASTRAK General Manager DJ Irvine, “I was born and raised in the Bluegrass State, so this means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to helping build the Pro Late Model class at 201 Speedway. The drivers will like all the benefits of FASTRAK; the strong tech, member discounts, and prize money they can compete for.”
Drivers will also be able to qualify for the FASTRAK World Challenge, a $5,000 to win event at Virginia Motor Speedway the night before the FASTRAK World Championship. To be eligible for the FASTRAK World Challenge, drivers must be a FASTRAK member and compete in 10 FASTRAK sanctioned events, weekly or touring, before Labor Day.
FASTRAK also holds the $20,000 to win World Championship, open to all Pro Late Model teams at Virginia Motor Speedway. Any teenagers are eligible to compete for the Future Stars Cup, which pays $1,250 to the winner. A driver must be a teenager when the season begins to qualify for the Future Stars Cup.
