NASCAR Penalty Report: Daytona International Speedway

No. 41 team penalized following season opener at Daytona

NASCAR penalized the No. 41 ThorSport Ford in the Camping World Truck Series for post-race height measurements being outside allowed tolerances following Friday’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

Crew chief Eddie Troconis was fined $5,000 and suspended from the next Camping World Truck Series championship points event. The team also was assessed with the loss of 10 driver points and 10 owner points.

Ben Rhodes drove the No. 41 to a fourth-place finish, his best showing in three career attempts at the superspeedway in the Truck Series.

The Truck Series returns to the track Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Active Pest Control 200 benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (4:30 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
