Joey Logano: “I don’t know where he’s faster than me. He’s faster all the way around Atlanta, is what I figured out today.”
Today, Joey Logano finished 2nd at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It was his 3rd consecutive runner-up finish at the track.
“I don’t think we were even close,” Logano tells Fox Sports after the race.
“Kevin played with us all day long. He just kinda rode along out there and ran a few hard laps when he needed to. He’d get enough distance then he’d chill back out.”
“Kevin’s just really good at it. It doesn’t matter what car he’s driving or what. He’s just really good at Atlanta. Apparently, we’re 2nd best to that.”
“I don’t know where he’s faster than me. He’s faster all the way around Atlanta, is what I figured out today. There’s not one spot. He’s able to go when he needs to.”
‘Congrats to them, they deserve it. We’ll keep our heads down and keep working at it.”
Christopher Bell
3rd
“Those guys are really good. That’s what I can take away from that.”
“I probably just used it up a little bit too much on that last run.”
Kevin Harvick
1st
Harvick has won at Atlanta Motor Speedway with four different teams. Today, he schooled the field. And he’s doing it with something that he learned 10 years ago in a Goodyear tire test.
“It’s just been a really good place for me. Obviously, getting my first Cup win here and being able to run good cars throughout the years.”
“And, the race track has stayed very similar to what it’s been for a number of years. As you look at the techniques and the things that I do in the car, they give me what I want in the car. As far as the feel, it just applies here.”
“I was frustrated last year here. We didn’t leave with a trophy.”
