Keselowski says Harvick still has the fastest car in the field

The streak has only been shut down temporarily

Kevin Harvick stunk up the show for 3 straight weeks. He picked up wins at Atlanta, Las Vegas and ISM Raceway.

At Auto Club Speedway, Kevin Harvick again had the quickest car in longer runs. He was changing to the front after starting in 10th.

However, he was involved in an incident with Kyle Larson that took him out of contention in stage 1. Martin Truex Jr brought the streak to a close with a dominating run of his own.

Mike Hembree: Does everybody feel better that Harvick didn’t win his 4th race in a row?

“Ha. I don’t know do you feel better Mike?,” Brad Keselowski responds with a laugh and question of his own.

“I still think the #4 car is probably the best car in the field right now. Things didn’t come together for him at Auto Club Speedway.”

“They’ll probably be a race in the future where he’s not the fastest and it does come together. It’s just how things work.”

“But, I don’t think anything changes right now with the #4 car being the fastest car in the field. I can’t speak for the internals of their team but I can speak for mine. I would move on a little disappointed and be pretty happy to still be the fastest car.”

Kevin Harvick might have been stopped at Auto Club Speedway. However, the #4 car is still the fastest car in the field.

At Martinsville, Harvick has an average finish of 14th. His single win at the paperclip came back in 2011.
