Short track retaliation gone wrong at Bowman Gray!
Things got wild in North Carolina on Saturday night.
Bowman Gray Stadium is a 1/4-mile race track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The track sits on top of a former track and field running track.
Watch the Bowman Gray Stadium retaliation video below.
Now, it’s an action packed weekly racing bullring. Thriller type bullrings tend to bring excitement and fender bangin’ short track racing.
But, for whatever reason Bowman Gray Stadium is amplified in that department. Operated by the government, the track is swarmed with police with good reason. Fans and drivers are known to lose their minds in that place.
“The tracks been like this ever since it started, it’s what makes it Bowman Gray,” Grayson Keaton explained to RacingNews.co .
“It’s tight to pass most of the times you can pass someone clean but sometimes you bump them off the corner to let people know your faster and once you bump them you can get under them down the straight away and beat them to the corner,” Keaton concluded on the racing characteristics that leads to regular drama at Bowman Gray.
Retaliation videos from Bowman Gray Stadium aren’t unusual. However, this one is special! Real special, it’s retaliation gone horribly wrong.
The incident took place between the #1 car of Grayson Keaton and the #24 car driven by A.J. Sanders. The drivers had a disagreement about something that happened earlier in the event.
As they crossed the checkered flag, A.J. Sanders pulled alongside Keaton to tell him he was wrong. He then attempted to sideswipe him.
He accomplished that mission. And so far, there’s nothing out of the ordinary for a Saturday night short track race at Bowman Gray.
However, the retaliation backfired in a real hurry. A.J. Sanders was sitting on his roof at this point. During the course of his retaliation swipe he climbed over the front end of the competitor and rolled his own car.
Grayson Keaton was credited with 7th in the main event. AJ Sanders finished in 8th.
