Main Event – Report
There’s a record crowd on hand tonight at Ponderosa Speedway.
Billy Moyer Jr and Tim McCreadie exit the pit area. They’ll set the from row for tonight’s main event.
Hudson O’Neal was in a transfer spot while leading the B Main. Trouble late sent him to the tail with 2 laps to go. O’Neal will now join the back of the main event field with a series provisional. Stormy Scott will take the other provisional.
The field lines up in a four wide salute for the Kentucky dirt racing fans. Fireworks blast and the lights are out.
The 50-lap dirt late model main event is up next…
Green flag, Moyer gets the jump and leads on the inside into turn one. McCreadie is on the gas around the top. He pulls even in the center of the corner. McCreadie leads off turn two with the momentum around the top.
Strickler slides Moyer for 2nd.
Hudson O’Neal is working his way through the field. However, it’s a rough track and he’s caught some body damage in the process. Left front and right rear damage for him.
Lap 10, McCreadie works the tail of lap traffic. Strickler has moved to his back bumper. Strickler runs a whole lane higher as he launches through the bumps.
Lap 14, slow car in turn one. The caution is out.
Coming to a green, Jameson has a flat while in 5th. The lights are back on and his heads to the pits with a flat right rear.
Green, McCreadie leads. Tanner English moves to 3rd on the bottom. Richards, Moyer and Marlar run three wide for 4th. Richards takes that spot.
Lap 19, Marlar blows a right rear in turn three! Debris scatters across the track. The yellow is back out.
Earl Pearson Jr also heads for the pits.

Don O’Neal started this race in 15th. He’s now running 3rd, ten car lengths back of English. This is O’Neal’s first race back since his leg injury a few months back.
Lap 37, Tanner English makes contact with the lap car of Austin Burns as the leaders race through lap traffic. The nose folds under the front wheels of burns but English continues. The caution is out as Burns is slow.
Green, McCreadie leads. Don O’Neal is all over the back of English for 2nd.
Lap 39, Bronson shoves Hudson O’Neal over the cushion in turn four. Jameson is on the brakes behind him. Clinton comes in with nowhere to go. Contact with Jameson slides Chilton toward the infield. He knocks out the sponsor signs on his trip through the infield grass. The caution is out.
