Report
Josh Richards and Kyle Bronson set the front row for the main event.
Don O’Neal wwas quickest in qualifying. He had issues in the heat and failed to transfer through the b main. O’Neal will join the tail on a provisional.
The field lines up in a four wide salute for the Ohio dirt racing fans. The 50 lap dirt late model main event is up next…
Green flag, Bronson gets the jump. False start.
Green, Bronson leads on the top into turn one. Richards fights back on the bottom and pulls to the door of the leader. Bronson holds the lead into turn three.
Lap 2, Owens slides Richards for 2nd in turn one.
Bronson continues to lead. Owens is running him down. Bronson runs the top as Owens runs the bottom on entry and slides to the top on exit.
Lap 7, Johnny Scott is around in turn one. The caution is out.
Green, Owens looks to the bottom in turn one. He pulls even but Bronson holds the lead with high side momentum.
Back in turn one, Owens gives it another shot.
Owens works to his outside in turn three. Bronson’s turn on the bottom into turn one. He runs Owens wide as he slides up the track but Bronson gives him a lane to work with before the outside track limits.
Owens leads off tthe two.
Halfway
Lap 25, Owens leads Bronson by 15 car lengths. McCreadie runs 3rd.
The field is using all lanes of the track. Hudson O’Neal is entering lower than all off them into turn one as the field starts looking for tack as the track is drying out.
Lap 35, Owens is struggling to lap Johnny Scott and Earl Pearson Jr. Bronson closes slightly but Owens is finally by both if them off turn four.
Owens is driving away.
Lap 46, Owens is slow off turn four! Mechanical issues for the leader. He slows on the back and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads McCreadie into turn one.
