Drivers are set to battle for at least $5,000 to win. They’ll do it in front of empty grandstands as this event is closed to fans.
Big name dirt late model stars are set to take the green in a field of 20+ cars. The 1/2-mile dirt track marks one of the first race tracks to open since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
The top 10 cars from qualifying have locked straight to the front four rows of the feature. They’ll be absent from the heat races.
Chris Madden and Tyler Erb set row one for the first heat of the night.
Green, Madden gets the jump on the inside. Erb comes under fire from Hicks but he holds 2nd.
Nothing to see hear, Madden is gone. He cruises to the win in heat 1.
Kyle Hardy and Willie Millikan set the front row for the final heat race of the night.
Green, they bang doors at the flagstand. Millikan is sideways but he drives it deep to the bottom into turn one. He pulls even but Hardy holds the lead. The caution is out for debris.
Green, Millikan gets the jump on the outside lane. Hardy holds 2nd.
Millikan opens the gap and drives away. He wins heat two.
Feature Race Report
Ross Bailes and Brandon Overton set the front row. None of the top 10 starters have seen the track since qualifying, hours ago.
Crickets, it’s dead silence as the cars sit on the front stretch. No fans in the stands but we’re going dirt late model racing.
The field lines up in a four wide salute for the dirt racing fans watching online. 40 laps of racing are on deck…
Green flag, they run even into turn one. Overton drives it deep to the bottom and slides across the nose of Bailes, not quite clear but close. Bailes is on the gas and he runs into the rear bumper of Overton.
The caution is out for a spin behind them. Bailes pulls alongside Overton and swerves near him to show displeasure. It’s a complete restart.
Green, they run even into turn one. Brett Hamm gets into Logan Roberson and Roberson is around.
Green, Bailes noses ahead on the outside lane into turn one. One lap complete and Davenport takes over 3rd.

Lap 16, Wilson is slow and the caution is out in the Yellow Flag 40.

Halfway, Overton leads Bailes by 2 seconds.
12 to go, Bailes and Davenport are closing. They’re entering high in turn three for a late apex off turn four as they cut down the banking. Both of them are closing on the leader.
