NASCAR is set to visit COTA for the first time; Michele Abbate makes her debut
This weekend, NASCAR is set to visit Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The 20-turn road course was purpose built for F1 racing. Now, NASCAR make it’s debut on the famed road course.
It’s a triple header weekend, many road racers have invaded the entry lists. Michele Abbate is set to make her debut via the NASCAR Truck Series.
Abbate will drive the No. 30 for On Point Motorsports.
She finished 2nd in the Trans Am West Coast Championship Series race at COTA back in 2020. She became the first and only woman to stand on a Trans Am TA2 podium.

Michele Abbate comments on NASCAR debut
“With NASCAR’s announcement of adding COTA to their schedule I immediately hit the ground running doing everything I could to make my debut.”, the four-time road racing champion shared.
She added via social media, “An absolute DREAM COME TRUE to have the opportunity to showcase my talent on one of America’s most iconic ROAD RACE tracks with the one and only NASCAR series!”
She is currently competing for the full schedule of the Trans Am West Coast series for 2021.
‘’My long time sponsor Scosche has signed to be my title sponsor for my NASCAR debut” said Abbate. “We will be running the #30 Scosche Toyota Tundra in the Camping World Truck Series prepared by On Point Motorsports.”
