NASCAR race results from Texas Motor Speedway; A thrilling finish for $1,000,000!

Tonight, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series are on the grid at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s the NASCAR All-Star race in Fort Worth, Texas. A check for $1,000,000 is set to be presented to the race winner!

It’s the first time the NASCAR All-Star Race has been hosted at Texas Motor Speedway. It’s a new track and a brand new format. Inverts and points tallies are on deck for a short 100 lap shootout.

Ross Chastain, Tyler Reddick and Aric Almirola earned their positions in this race via the All-Star Open. Additionally, Matt DiBenedetto won the Fan Vote. All four of those drivers join the All-Star race and will start from the tail of the field.

The grid has been set by a random draw. Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch line up on the front row. 100 laps of stock car racing is up next with a check for $1,000,000 at the finish…

Round 1 – Report

Laps: 15 (1-15 / 100)

Green flag, Larson and Busch run even into turn one. They remain side by side in turn three, Larson wins the battle.

Back in turn one, Christopher Bell enters turn one and the rear end steps around. He bounces it off the apron and saves it but the caution is out.

Green, Larson and Busch return side by side in turn one. Hamlin opens it up three wide for 13th in turn one.

13 to go, Busch drives it deep to the outside in turn one, he clears Larson to take the lead.

9 to go, Larson has climbed back to the bumper of Busch. He works inside off turn two, side drafts down the back and Larson leads into turn three.

7 to go, Busch dives deep to the inside in turn one but Larson holds the lead on the outside. Byron swings around Busch to take over 2nd.

2 to go, Ross Chastain has climbed from the tail of the field to 10th.

Kyle Larson cruises to the win in stage one!

Round 2 – Report

Laps: 15 (16-30 / 100)

Invert (Top 12): The top 12 cars have been inverted. Blaney moves to the front as Larson is shuffled back to 12th.

Green flag on stage two, Blaney gets a huge shove from Chastain and he’s clear into turn one. Chastain looks to the outside as the reach the corner, Blaney moves up to block.

14 to go, Chastain is back on the bumper of Blaney into turn one! Blaney gets jacked completely sideways but he saves it and holds the lead!

13 to go, Keselowski dives to the inside of Blaney. They rub doors down the front stretch and Blaney holds him off.

8 to go, Chastain dives under Keselowski and returns to 2nd. Moments later, Keselowski fights back to reclaim the spot.

5 to go, Blaney leads Keselowski by a car length.

2 to go, Blaney throws heavy blocks on Keselowski to hold the lead.

Ryan Blaney wins stage two at Texas Motor Speedway!

Round 3 – Report

Laps: 15 (31-45 / 100)

Invert (Full Field): Now, the entire field will be inverted based on their finish from stage two. Almirola moves to 1st as Blaney moves to 21st for the start of this stage.

Green flag on stage three, Almirola and DiBenedetto run near even into turn one. McDowell pulls to the bumper of DiBenedetto off turn two and pushes him to the lead in turn three.

13 to go, McDowell works inside of DiBenedetto, side by side for the lead.

11 to go, Bowman gives a push to DiBenedetto and he pushes him clear to the lead. Bowman moves to 2nd.

9 to go, Bowman looks to the inside of DiBenedetto, clear. Bowman takes over the lead.

Alex Bowman opens the gap and drives to the win in stage three at Texas Motor Speedway!

Round 4 – Report

Laps: 15 (46-60 / 100)

Invert: The top 9 cars have been inverted. William Byron will move from 9th to the pole at the start of round four. Bowman moves from 1st to 9th.

Green flag on stage four, Byron and Bell run side by side into turn one.

13 to go, Byron finally clears him on the outside. Larson follows him through to take 2nd.

2 to go, Larson is on the bumper of Byron for the stage win.

Byron holds him off and wins stage four at Texas Motor Speedway!

Round 5 – Report

Laps: 30 (61-90 / 100)

Lineup by points: The lineup for this stage will be set by points earned from the first four stages. William Byron and Kyle Larson move to the front row.

Pit Stop: Drivers are required to make a four tire pit stop in this stage.

Green flag on stage five, Byron and Larson run side by side into turn one. 7 cars hit the pit lane on lap 1, led by Denny Hamlin. Byron clears him on the outside lane.

22 to go, Byron leads Larson by 3 car lengths. The field is strung out single file as those two break away.

14 to go, Byron pits from the race lead. Larson, Bowman, Elliott and others follow. Elliott wins the race to the pit exit!

11 to go, Brad Keselowski hits the pit lane. As he does, Ross Chastain spins after a push into turn one from Ryan Newman. The caution is out.

The caution came out at the perfect time for Brad Keselowski. As Keselowski exited the pit lane, he exited ahead of Elliott. Keselowski will lead them to the restart.

Green, Keselowski and Elliott run side by side in turn one. They remain side by side for 2 full laps, trading side drafts the whole way.

10 to go, Byron gives a shove to Elliott and they both clear Keselowski on the outside.

4 to go, Byron is on the bumper of Elliott in the battle for the lead.

1 to go, Elliott throws a huge block on Byron in turn one!

Shootout: The lineup is set by the finishing order of round two. It’s a 10 lap shootout to the win.

Green flag, Elliott noses ahead on the outside. Blaney pushes Byron on the inside but he leaves his bumper and takes him 3 wide for 2nd. Elliott leads on the outside.

Larson looks to the outside of Elliott! He drives right by.

9 to go, Elliott cuts to the bottom in turn three and pulls even in Larson. Keselwoski dives under them both, three wide for the lead. Elliott fades off turn four. Larson and Keseowski run side by side for the lead! Larson holds him off on the outside lane.

5 to go, Larson leads with Keselowski on his bumper.

2 to go, Larson leads Keselowski by a car length. They both break away from Elliott. Larson snakes down the back stretch to break the draft.

1 to go, Larson leads by a car length into turn three.
