NASCAR starting positions for Texas Motor Speedway

This weekend, NASCAR returns to Fort Worth, TX. It’s the NASCAR All-Star race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The lineups for the NASCAR All-Star and the All-Star Open races have already been set. Kyle Larson will start from the pole position in the event with Kyle Busch on his outside.

How did they set the field?

All-Star: Random Draw

Open: Owner Points

The open race are filled with cars that haven’t qualified for the All-Star race. The event will be run just ahead of the All-Star race.Stage winners and the race winner of the Open event will transfer into the All-Star race.

As the the All-Star race, it’s a brand new format. The stages will see multiple inverts following stages. Points will be tallied throughout the first four stages. The lineup for the fifth and final stage will be set by points earned through stages one, two, three and four.
