Watkins Glen International tv numbers; Indycar ratings included
Over the weekend, NASCAR visited Watkins Glen, NY while Indycar visited the streets of Nashville. Indycar drew extremely big numbers in comparison to other Indy events on cable.

Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event was seen by an average of 2,124,000. The race brought a rating of 1.25.
Directly following the NASCAR Cup race, Indycar’s coverage of the Music City Grand Prix began. Marcus Ericsson went airborne in the opening laps. He rebounded with pit strategy to win the inaugural event.
Event promoters expected 100,000 race fans over the course of the weekend. The Music City Grand Prix in the streets of Nashville brought 1,212,000 tv viewers. That predicted to be the largest Indycar viewership via cable since 1998.
