Christopher Bell comments on fellow NASCAR driver Kyle Larson
Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell are in yet another battle for the NASCAR Cup Series championship. This is just the latest as the two drivers have grown up racing each other, throughout their climb of the entire racing ladder.
Bell and Larson both regularly attend the famed Chili Bowl Nationals. They’ve thrown bars for the win in that one more than once.
They’ve also had their fair share of run-ins on Sundays. They crashed while racing at the front of the field in the NASCAR Cup Series dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway back in 2021.
Christopher Bell hints retaliation still possible for Kyle Larson
With both of these NASCAR Cup Series stars, they come from dirt track racing. Each of them regularly run dirt midget and sprint car races.
But, that might be where the similarities stop.
Bell and Larson were on stage at Phoenix Raceway this weekend in front of the media. The pre-planned appearance brought the quotes…
Christopher Bell comments on Kyle Larson
“I think Kyle and I have… Yeah, we’ve raced each other really hard basically our entire career,” Christopher Bell stated from the media center at Phoenix Raceway.
“I think it’s fair to say that we’re different people. And, we hang out with different people. And, we’re not friends but we’re acquaintances. And we would race each other hard.”

Denny Hamlin jumps in…
Hamlin said, “You just gave everyone their quote, ‘We’re not friends.’ That’s going to be on every [expletive] headline.”
Kyle Larson comments
“I would agree with that,” Kyle Larson added.
“I think we’ve said in other press conferences, nobody has pushed me more to become a better racer. In all forms of sports, there’s athletes that push athletes. He’s been the guy for me because he’s beaten me so much throughout my career.”
“As he mentioned, we’re different people and hang out with different crowds.”
“That’s crazy! They have TVs in Oklahoma, I think.”
