NASCAR penalty report from Watkins Glen International; Five post-race penalties issued
Over the weekend, NASCAR returned to the road course of Watkins Glen International for the first time in two years. Kyle Larson drove to victory lane in the NASCAR Cup Series, Ty Gibbs won the Xfinity event and Austin Hill won the Truck Series race.

Ahead of the green flag in the NASCAR Cup Series, both Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell failed pre-race inspection. The teams were both found in violation of rear window air deflectors. Crew chiefs Adam Stevens and Alan Gustafson were each fined $25,000 and ejected from the event.

After the weekend, more penalties have been issued. Two in the NASCAR Cup Series and three more in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
