Former NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham is bringing 32 cars to auction
Ray Evernham is a legendary NASCAR crew chief as the leader of Jeff Gordon’s rainbow warriors. He later transitioned to team owner with Evernham Motorsports in 2000. In 2009, the team merged with Petty Enterprises and Evenham sold his share of the team.
These days, Evernham is back working on race cars. He and his team have restored a garage full of classic race cars and production machines.
And now, he’s out of room at the Big Iron Garage in Mooresville, North Carolina. So, Evernham is set to unload 32 cars at the upcoming Mecum Action. The lot includes 7 NASCAR Race Cars, 4 INDYCAR race cars as well as multiple short track racing machines.
The Indy 2022 auction will feature 3,000 vehicles. It’s run on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Ray Everham collection is clearly one of the star collections in the show. All cars will be sold with ‘no reserve’ meaning each one is sure to sell to the highest bidder.
