Firecracker 100 results from day one of the multi-day show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series; Makeup features run on Friday afternoon
Last night, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series unloaded in Sarver, Pennsylvania for the opening night of the Firecracker 100. The 4/10-mile of Lernerville Speedway opened the first of a three-day dirt late model show. Just ahead of the two preliminary features, the rain fell. Now, the field is back on track on a Friday afternoon to complete the portion of the Thursday night show.

They’ll race for $50,000 to win on Saturday night. Tonight, the field is split into two groups and each will battle for $5,000 in a pair of feature races.
Main Event
Group A Report
Jonathan Davenport and Mason Zeigler set the front row for the first of two features. 25 laps of dirt track racing are up next…
Green flag, Davenport is clear before turn one. Zeigler holds 2nd as they run three wide for 3rd behind him.
Ricky Thornton Jr takes 2nd away.
Lap 7, Colton Flinner slows with a flat left rear, caution.
Green, Thornton Jr slides Davenport into turn one but he can’t clear him, Davenport holds the lead off turn two.
9 to go, Ricky Thronton Jr tangles with lap traffic! He’s up and over the banking and the caution is out. He tried to run three wide and through the middle but the hole closed in a hurry.
Green, Davenport leads. Michael Norris crosses under Brandon Overton to take 2nd off turn two. Max Blair follows him through to take 3rd away.
5 to go, Davenport is driving away.

Group B Report
Tim McCreadie and Cody Overton line up first in the second feature of the day. Another 25 laps of dirt late model racing is coming up next…
Green, McCreadie leads into turn one as Hudson O’Neal slides Overton to take 2nd away.
Lap 2, multiple cars tangle in turn one, caution.
Green, O’Neal looks inside of McCreadie into turn one but he can’t clear him. McCreadie holds the lead.
Lap 3, spin at the back, caution.
Green, multiple cars tangle once more and the caution is back out.
Green, McCreadie and O’Neal run side by side into turn one. O’Neal slipes off the bottom, loses momentum and Devin Moran slides him for 2nd into turn three.
He slides Moran back into turn one but he jumps the cushion! O’Neal nearly stalls and the field has nowhere to go. Cody Overton get into the side of O’Neal and more cars pile in. Overton is sent spinning over the edge of the banking, caution.
Lap 5, slow car, caution.
Lap 6, spin and the sixth caution is out.
Green, McCreadie leads O’Neal and Moran.
Lap 15, McCreadie works heavy lap traffic. O’Neal closes slightly. Both drivers are glued to the heavy cushion for the full length of the track.
6 to go, spin in turn two, caution.
Green, McCreadie leads O’Neal off turn two. Spencer Hughes slides O’Neal for 2nd into turn three, he takes the spot.
