NASCAR driver issues concerns regarding the shows editing process
NETFLIX is currently filming a new docu-series surrounding NASCAR. Filming for the show began at Darlington Raceway, the opening race of the NASCAR playoffs.

The show will follow the playoff drivers until the championship race at Phoenix Raceway. It will air 5 episodes in the debut season of the new title.
NETFLIX has taken criticism for ‘Drive to Survive’, a similar show based in the world of F1. Many F1 drivers have knocked the show runners due to editing.
In examples, quotes from drivers, including team radio have been shown in the show, out of context. Meaning, the radio chat was from an entirely different scene than the one they tied it to on the show.
F1 drivers elected to pull out of the NETFLIX show as a result of their editing process. Most notably, Max Verstappen who after several months has since returned to the show.
NASCAR driver Joey Logano is worried about that same thing happening with this new show…
Joey Logano isn’t pleased with the NETFLIX cameras
“It’s okay. It’s a little annoying, if I’m being real with you guys,” Joey Logano stated via Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
“Who wants a camera following you and a microphone listening to everything you got. And, the way this NETFLIX thing is, we don’t have editing rights. So, what they get and what they use is totally up to them.”
“Watch what you say and watch what you do because they can use it. And they can edit it in a way that makes you look completely different than the actual situation that was happening.”
“That part is really concerning for me. Not that I’m worried that I’m going to say the wrong thing. It’s that they’re going to use it in a different context than what it actually was.”
“That’s what makes me really nervous about the situation.”
Logano also thinks they have too much access
“I don’t want to open my doors to everybody about everything,” Logano added.
I’m a little private about my family. I don’t want them in my house and like know where I live
“There’s gotta be a little bit of limitations here. It seams weird.”
Logano won’t have to worry about the NETFLIX show heading into this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. He was eliminated from the playoffs following the race last week at Bristol Motor Speedway.
