Dale Earnhardt Jr reportedly leaving NBC for new NASCAR tv booth

New tv partners will make their debut in 2025

Since 2018, NASCAR fans have seen Dale Earnhardt Jr for half the season as he has served in the NBC Sports broadcast booth. However, his 5-year contract expired at the end of the 2023 season.

No new deal has been signed for 2024.

“It was up at the end of last year. I’m currently working through what that looks like for me. I definitely love being in the broadcast booth and want to continue doing that,” Dale Earnhardt Jr stated weeks ago.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s NASCAR broadcasting contract has expired

In 2025, NASCAR will enter into a new broadcasting deal. Prime Video and TNT will join NBC and Fox in the split of NASCAR coverage.

Amazon Prime and TNT will each have 5 races in the middle of the season. And, now we’re learning more about why Dale Jr hasn’t renewed his contract with NBC.

It’s been reported by The Athletic that he’ll join the broadcast team at Amazon Prime and Warner Brothers Discovery Sports via TNT.

The former driver is a 15-time winner of NASCAR’s most popular driver award and he brings a crowd with him. Adding Dale Earnhardt Jr to the broadcast booth for a new NASCAR network would bring instant credibility to said network.

A possible move to Amazon Prime and/or TNT hasn’t been confirmed by Dale Jr himself.
