A penalty has been issued as of today. The World of Outlaws have issued a penalty and a suspension to dirt late model driver Bobby Pierce.

The penalty comes followed a tire test following an event on February 16, 2024, at Volusia Speedway Park. Per independent lab results, the tire was chemically altered from it’s original compound.

Benchmark results are issued by the Hoosier Tire Company. The lab tests confirmed the tire did not meet those benchmarks.

Pierce has been disqualified from the event at Volusia Speedway Park. He’s been fined $1,000 and he’ll also have to pay the $400 tire analysis fee. Additionally, the team has lost the $7,000 in earnings from the event.

“Pierce is suspended from World Racing Group events for 30 days or the next four completed events in the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series schedule (whichever occurs last), and the loss of 294 Series Owner and Driver points for the 2024 season.”

Pierce has run all four WoOLMS events thus far in 2024. He sits 23rd in the standings.
