23XI Racing expands to three car team for 2025 NASCAR season

Riley Herbst joins 23XI Racing for the 2025 season

23XI Racing is set to expand to the three car team in 2025.

Riley Herbst will drive the No. 35 Monster Energy Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series. He’ll run as teammates to Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.

Herbst has 8 career NASCAR Cup Series starts. He’s ran 4 races in 2023 and another 4 this season. He has a career best finish of 9th.

The 25-year-old claimed two NASCAR Xfinity Series wins in 2024. He won races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as well as the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

Davin Restivo will serve as the crew chief for the entry. Restivo was all the crew chief for Herbst’s No. 98 Xfinity team.

23XI Racing recently opened an anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR. Recently, NASCAR removed lines from the Open Charter Agreement, which will allow 23XI Racing to race without a charter as the lawsuit is ongoing.

Riley Herbst comments

“It’s an honor to join 23XI and Toyota for the opportunity to race in the Cup Series each week,” said Herbst.

“Racing full-time in the Cup Series has been my goal since I started in NASCAR and I’m excited to start my Cup career with such an accomplished and driven team. What 23XI has accomplished in a short time is impressive and I look forward to building on their success as the organization grows. It’s also great to continue representing Monster and I’m excited about adding to their legacy in NASCAR.”

“We have a very solid foundation with both Bubba and Tyler, and we know they will be a great resource for Riley as he begins his journey in the Cup Series.”
