Larry McClure has passed away.
He was the former co-owner of Morgan-McClure Motorsports. The team was owned by Tim Morgan, Jerry McClure and Larry McClure.
The team was in operation from 1983 through 2012. They fielded cars in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Drivers: Mark Martin, Ernie Irvan, Sterling Marlin, Rick Wilson, Bobby Hamilton, Mike Skinner, Jimmy Spencer, Mike Wallace, Eric McClure, Scott Wimmer and Ward Burton.
The team ran 703 races and went to victory lane 14 times. That includes three Daytona 500 wins.
The team also added 13 pole positions to the record books.
McClure passed on Wednesday morning at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
