The iconic truck and trailer was built fully custom for dirt late model legend Scott Bloomquist
Scott Bloomquist collected countless dirt late model championships throughout his dirt track racing career. He was also a nine-time Dirt Late Model Dream winner and four-time World 100 winner.
Back in 2017, Scott Bloomquist pulled into the track with a new look and caught the eye of the entire pit area. It was a black on black, fully-custom race hauler.
At the time, Bloomquist was almost always the last hauler to pull into the pit area. Often he was pulling into the track as cars were on the track for hot laps. That brought reactions and eye-rolls from the pit area, he was in their heads before the #0 was even unloaded.
I asked him if the new hauler would help him get to the racetrack on time. And to add some detail from behind the scenes, I also told him he was welcome to troll with his answer. But he elected not to.
Instead, he responded genuinely, “Absolutely. Anytime you’re swapping and changing rigs, or using a borrowed rig… When we get organized, which is a major job. Just like this truck, we get involved in working on it and flying out there [to Texas] to look at it. We’ve just been so occupied with other things.”

He only briefly used the hauler. Bloomquist later told me that there were issues with weight as he crossed state lines. A primary car, backup car and another full car in parts alone, on-top of all the custom elements built into the trailer resulted in it being too heavy.
Tragically, Bloomquist died in a plane crash on his own property back in 2024.
The hauler is currently listed for sale from Chase Motorsports Coach & Trailer Sales. The company is based in Paducah, Kentucky.
