Race Report
Green flag, Sams is clear off turn two. Kasey Kahne moves into 2nd.
42 to go, Tanner Holmes slides Kahne for 2nd into turn one.
35 to go, they trade sliders for 2nd. They’re both closing on the leader. James McFadden is flying through the field behind them.
34 to go, Holmes slides Sams for the lead. Spin behind them, caution. Sam’s will return to the lead as the lap was not complete.
Green, Sams blocks a run on the bottom into turn three. Holmes goes up the track and heads for the cushion. He pulls even on the outside lane off turn four. Holmes swings around the outside of Sams to take the race lead.
31 to go, Ryan Timms slows, caution.
Green, James McFadden drives it deep to the bottom. He slides Holmes for the lead. Holmes is forced to lift and McFadden is clear for the lead.
25 to go, the halfway caution is out. Teams will refuel the cars and they are allowed to change tires.
Green, McFadden heads for the cushion into turn one. They run side-by-side for 2nd. Rico Abreu makes it three wide through the middle and he’s clear for 2nd off turn two.
14 to go, Holmes knocks the cushion into turn three. He works to the right-rear of Abreu and squeezes between him and the outside wall. Holmes reclaims 2nd.
13 to go, slow car, caution.
Light rain is falling but the lights are out.
Green, McFadden leads Holmes and Abreu off turn two. Abreu works to the right-rear of Holmes but he’s forced to lift.
5 to go, McFadden is closing on lap traffic. Holmes trails by six car lengths.
3 to go, Marks and Abreu trade sliders for 3rd.
