RCR will field a third car at Rockingham Speedway
Cleetus McFarland is a popular YouTuber turned racer. Real name is Garrett Mitchell, he recently made his first career NASCAR Truck Series start.
Now, he’s climbing further up the racing ladder. Richard Childress Racing has signed McFarland to race in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Rockingham Speedway in April.
The entry will have funding from Tommy’s Express, a national car wash business.
The car will be entered as a third car from Richard Childress Racing. Mitchell will drive the No. 33 for the team.
Garrett Mitchell comments
“To have the opportunity to make my NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut with a legendary race team like Richard Childress Racing is a dream come true,” said Mitchell.
“It’s a huge honor, and I am incredibly grateful to learn under the leadership of Richard Childress, Mike Verlander, Danny Lawrence and everyone in Welcome, North Carolina. Having Tommy’s Express on board for my debut makes it even more special.”

Mitchell has run 5 ARCA Menards Series races and he made his NASCAR Truck Series debut in February at Daytona.
