JR Motorsports welcomes Connor Zilisch
Connor Zilisch currently runs full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Trackhouse Racing. He’s going short track racing this weekend.
On Friday, Zilisch is making his return to the CARS Tour. And, it will be his first start in a JR Motorsports fielded machine.
The driver is bringing RedBull to JR Motorsports with him.
JR Motorsports stated, “This No. 8 is getting some wiiiiiiiings. CZ takes the wheel of the No. 8 RedBull Chevrolet Late Model for Florence this Friday Night.”
Connor Zilisch stated, “Pumped for this one on Friday at Florence! Back in a late model with JR Motorsports and RedBull.”
He will race in the Late Model Stock division at Florence Motor Speedway. The track is a 0.4-mile pavement oval in Timmonsville, South Carolina.
The 20-year-old drivers recently announced that he has signed with Hendrick Motorsports. That new contract goes into action for the 2028 season.
Zilisch has 14 previous starts in the CARS Tour. He picked up a win in 2024 at Hickory Motor Speedway.
