Days of Thunder is the greatest racing movie of all time. The film was released in June 1990 and grossed $157.9M at the box office worldwide.
For over a year, Days of Thunder 2 has been rumored. Today, those rumors were officially confirmed.
Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway made the video below from Daytona International Speedway. The video confirmed a 2028 release of Daytona of Thunder 2.
Tom Cruise: “I think it’s on… Annie? It looks on to me. Don’t you think?”
Anne Hathaway: “That looks on. Hey! What should we do?”
TC: “I don’t know, show ’em. Now what?”
AH: “Now what? Let’s make the move! Now what. I’m gonna have this baby, and then we’re going to make this movie.”
TC: “That’s a good idea. You have the baby then we’ll go make the movie! We’re coming out, Summer of 2028. Don’t be late.”
AH: “Are you sure you wanna go with that?”
TC: “Yeah. I don’t know… I’m trying.”
