NASCAR returns to single truck qualifying today. After five years of knockout qualifying, the sanction announced a rules change mid-week.
The qualifying order is set based off qualifying times from the previous event. Today, drivers will get two laps to set their quick lap.
Ryan Blaney holds the truck qualifying record at 158.465 mph (22.718 seconds). He set that time on May 29, 2015.

32 trucks are set for JEGS 200 qualifying.
They’re on the chip today. The fast trucks are trying to hold it full throttle around the 1-mile concrete oval.
Halfway through qualifying, Matt Crafton currently sits at the top of the board. He wont stay there as the crew changed an engine prior to this session. He’ll go to the tail for the race.
Brett Moffitt will start from the pole position.
“Qualifying was actually our weak point yesterday,” Moffitt says of Thursday practice runs after setting the pole on Friday.
