The onboard Indycar video was shot from a mounted GoPro chassis camera. The event was created to spread word of the championship race held at nearby Sonoma Raceway.
The Video News Feed recaps yesterday’s parade of Verizon IndyCar Series championship contenders Simon Pagenaud and Will Power driving their competition Indy cars along the famous Embarcadero in downtown San Francisco.
They were accompanied by an INDYCAR Experience two-seat Indy car driven by newly crowned Indy Lights champion Ed Jones. Jones was carrying the Astor Challenge Cup as well.
That Astor Challenge Cup trophy will be presented to the 2016 season champion following the Sept. 18 season finale, the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma at nearby Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.
