Eldora DLMDream Results – June 8, 2017

Clanton begins to slip backwards. McCreadie saw the nose of Lanigan to his inside. Since then, McCreadie has picked up the pace at the highside. Lanigan throws a slider on Shane Clanton in turn 3, he keeps his forward drive. Clanton doesn’t get the opportunity to return the slide.

Meanwhile, Tim McCreadie has driven his way to the front of the field. He’s pressuring Overton for the lead in the Dirt Late Model Dream preliminary action. McCreadie has been at the top for the entire race, now he’s searching for dark spots around the bottom.

Overton is deep in lapped traffic. McCreadie trails by a few car lengths. Overton is struggling to put Jason Feger a lap down. McCreadie has moved to his bumper. Caution.

Green, 3 to go. McCreadie loses a bunch of spots. Darrell Lanigan and Don O’Neal are the new challengers to leader, Overton. The #116 checks out at the exit of turn 2. He qualified 31st tonight, but drives to victory lane anyway. Brandon Overton wins DLMDream A-Main #1.

A-Main #2
Green Flag. Bobby Pierce and Jimmy Mars lead row 1 in A-Main #2. Bobby Pierce jumps right to the wall, clears the entire field by 10 car lengths by the exit of turn 2.

They’re four wide for 2nd. Scott Bloomquist to the bottom, under Jon Henry. Contact, Henry didn’t know Bloomquist was there. Move Bloomquist to 3rd.

Meanwhile, the race is picking up for the lead. Pierce continues to roll around the highside. Jimmy Mars is making up time on the bottom, against the inside wall. They race side by side, lap after lap.

They better decide the leader quick. As they run side-by-side, they are slowing each other down. Bloomquist is coming, fast. Bloomquist to the middle, three wide battle for the lead. Bobby Pierce makes a mistake, Mars and Bloomquist take over at the front.

New leader, Bloomquist. 16 laps remain.

Pierce begins to fall through the field. He’s inside the top 5, just barely. Meanwhile Bloomquist is slicing through lappers like butter.

Chris Madden and Jimmy Mars race four wide through lapped traffic. The race is for 2nd in Main #2. Both of these drivers want the bottom, only one can have it. Chris Madden pulls to his door, slider in turn 3. Chris Madden takes the runner up spot.

Scott Bloomquist is gone. He’s lapped half the field. Scott Bloomquist is going to win A-Main #2.
