Man arrested after running over NASCAR fans in Golf Cart

Colonious Thomas, intoxicated, ran over fans at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The NASCAR Cup Series event run until sunset at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Following the event, there was an incident in the tunnel at the racetrack. A man ran over pedestrians while driving a golf cart.

4 NASCAR fans were hospitalized after the incident.

The Speedway Indiana Police Department have announced that an arrest has been made.

Colonious Thomas, age 40, from Noblesville, Indiana was arrested. He’s charged with leaving the scene of a crash while intoxicated.

He caused serious bodily injury to the fans that were struck. He operated a vehicle while intoxicated according to Speedway Police.
