Danica Patrick: “If I don’t do Cup, I don’t think I will do anything”
Danica Patrick will not return to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2018. Today, she confirmed that stepped down, isn’t an option. It’s cup or nothing.
“If I don’t do Cup, I don’t think I will do anything,” stated Danica Patrick to Dave Moody on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
“My only goal is to be one of the few drivers that have won in INDYCAR and NASCAR. That’s attained through winning in the Cup Series.”
“So, if I don’t think there’s a really solid potential for that to happen. Then, I’m just spinning my wheels.”
“I very randomly, at times, talk to my agent. I like them do the work. There’s not really anything I can do, it comes down to money.”
“It also comes down to what I wanna do.”
“I have to answer whether or not [if] I wanna do this. It is a grind.”
In other words, we will not see Danica Patrick on the grid next season. Competitive rides simply aren’t available at this point.
