Dennis Erb Jr plans to run the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series full-time in 2018
We’ve heard from most of the 12 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars regarding the 2018 season. However, there’s still a few that haven’t made a decision or haven’t talked about 2018.
Dennis Erb Jr, the Carpentersville, Illinois native, is one of the drivers who I haven’t heard from on his 2018 plans. So I asked the fan favorite directly…
What are you planning to run in 2018?
“Right now, we’re planning on running the Lucas Oil Series,” Dennis Erb Jr told RacingNews.co at the Gateway Dirt Nationals over the weekend.
“That’s what we’re set for, right now. Just we’ll wait and see for the beginning of the year. We’ll see what happens.”
You’re for sure going to run, is that confirmed? It sounds like you’re waiting on something?
“I’m just working on a few things right now. As of right now, that’s what I plan on doing.”
I saw you had cars for sale. Are you switching?
“No, we ain’t switching nothing,” Dennis Erb Jr confirms the 2018 fleet.
“Everything’s still the same. We’re just getting ready for next year. There’s nothing changing in that department there.”
“Still stayin’ with Black Diamond Race Cars and Clements Racing Engines. We’ll be ready to go here.”
In 2017, Dennis Erb Jr finished 8th in Lucas Oil Late Model Series standings. He collected 5 top five runs on the tour. Additionally, 20 of 48 attempts, he finished inside the ten.
