Sauber F1 Team: 2018 Car – C37

2018 Sauber F1 car released

2018 Sauber F1 Drivers: Marcus Ericsson; Charles Leclerc

A new car philosophy

The C37 was built based on a new car philosophy, focusing on the aerodynamic concept that is different to that of the outgoing Sauber C36-Ferrari. The C37 is equipped with new and improved aerodynamic parts, in addition to regulation changes for 2018, such as the removal of the shark fin and T-wings.

Furthermore, the C37 will compete in the Formula One Chamiponship with Ferrari’s 2018 spec power units, a positive step forward for the new season.

Jörg Zander, Technical Director states, “We are positive that the new concept offers us more opportunities and will help us to make improvements during the course of the season. The 2018 Ferrari engine will also give us a boost in terms of our performance.”

Changes to the car based on new regulations are:

-The introduction of the halo cockpit protection system

-The disappearance of the shark fin and T-wings
