ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass kicks off 2018 at Brownstown Speedway April 7th
Carnesville, GA – The ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model series is set to begin its third season at Brownstown Speedway on April 7th. The opening race will pay $3,000 to win and $400 to start.
“Brownstown is a historic facility and I can’t think of a better place to start our season,” said ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass director Matt Hicks, “We are going to have a great turn out and an excellent season.”
The region’s top Super Late Model drivers will hit the Brownstown, IN track to battle for their share of $13,335 of total purse money. Last year on April 1st Benton, KY’s Tanner English took home the win in the Battle of the Bluegrass season opener at Brownstown.
Additionally, the quick time winner will receive $250. The hard charger will also receive and additional $250.
The tire rule for the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series season opener is Hoosier 1350 with a 1600 or LM40 right rear option. American Racer 48 with a 56 right rear option.
Anyone wishing to compete for the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass’ $5,000 to win championship, must become a member and compete in 75% of series races to be eligible for any point money. The total point fund for the ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass is $10,000. Jeremy Hines of Seymour, IN is the defending back to back Champion. All members are eligible to add the $100,000 of participant accident medical insurance for just $25 for the season. Any crew members can be added for $20 each.
