Qualifying – Report
Kyle Bronson set quicktime with a 12.905.
Scott Bloomquist was late to the race track. He did not make it to hot laps or qualifying. Bloomquist already used a mulligan earlier in the season at Sharon Speedway.
Heat 1 – Report
Kyle Bronson and Earl Pearson will trail the pace truck ahead of heat race number one. Green, they run even into turn 1. Pearson noses ahead off turn 2.
Pearson leads but Bronson is in his tire tracks. Bronson is looking for the lead.
Bronson cuts to the bottom. He takes the spot.
Overton is in the wall in turn 3. McCreadie is on his bumper for 3rd, McCreadie takes the spot.
Bronson drives off to win heat race number one.
Heat 2 – Report
Eddie Carrier Jr and Jonathan Davenport set the front row for heat race number two. Green, Carrier leads by a car length into turn 1.
Carrier is opening up the gap slightly to Davenport. Chilton is looking for a way by Davenport.
At the front, Carrier enters high and stays there through turns 1-2. Everyone else is entering high and cutting to the bottom on exit.
Carrier wins heat race number two!
Heat 3 – Report
Tanner English and Josh Richards set row one in the final heat race of the night. Green, Richards and English run even into turn 1. Richards noses ahead off turn 2.
Lap 3, English drives it hard to the bottom in turn 3. It’s a slider but he only pulls even with the leader. Both cars run up the hill as Richards makes room for the slider. They run even off turn 4. Richards holds the lead into turn 1.
Lap 6, English has a run off turn two. He’s even with Richards heading into three. He throws the slider. This time, he’s clear. English takes the lead.
Tanner English drives away to win heat race number three!
Main Event – Report
Bloomquist will not start the main event. Late to the track made him ineligible for a provisional. He wasn’t able to transfer through for the b main.
Kyle Bronson and Eddie Carrier Jr set the front row for the main event. It’s a 50 lap show at Ponderosa Speedway. 4 wide salute and they’re ready for the starting line.
Green flag, Bronson gets the jump. Carrier Jr fights back on the outside in turn 1. Carrier Jr leads off turn two.
Pearson is looking for 2nd. He looks to the inside. Bronson runs high and makes light contact with the wall. Pearson to 2nd.
Lap 5, Pearson has climbed to the rear bumper of the leader. He cuts to the bottom. They run side by side for the lead. Another lap, still side by side. Pearson clears him off turn 4.
Lap 15, Richards has moved by Carrier Jr to take 2nd. Pearson leads by 4 car lengths. Lightning strikes in the background.
Lao 19, Overton is tangled with McCreadie in turn 1. McCreadie is turned around and Overton is halfway on top of him. The caution is out.
The wreck is cleaned up but light rain is falling on the speedway.
Green, Pearson leads on the bottom. Carrier Jr us sticking with the top. Carrier is maintaining the gap. Lap by lap, he closes to the rear bumper of the leader.
Lap 27, Carrier is there off turn 2. Pearson leaves the lane open and they run side by side down the back. Carrier to the lead in turn 3! Richards is right there with them.
Lap 30, the caution is out.
The race has been called for rain. Eddie Carrier Jr takes the win!
