NASCAR Xfinity Series race results from the championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 17th, 2018

Today, the 2018 NASCRA Xfinity Series season comes to a close. The Ford EcoBoost 300 will crown the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion.

Cole Custer, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and Daniel Hemric.

Cole Custer and Christopher Bell lead them to the line. It’s a 200 lap race in Homestead, Florida. The highest finished of the championship four will take the series title.

Stage 1
Homestead Xfinity Race

Laps: 45

Green, Bell spins his tires as he stakes up the inside line. Bell falls to 4th. Custer leads into turn one.

Lap 40, Justin Allgaier has moved to the outside wall. He was tried to make a move earlier in the race and lost several positions. He’s trying to make it all back, inches from the wall already. Allgaier runs 5th.

2 to go in stage 1, Custer leads Hemric by 1.2 seconds.

Cole Custer swept all three rounds of qualifying. Now, he’s come back to take the win the stage one of the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Homestead!

Stage 2

Laps: 45

The field heads to the pit lane. Custer is first in and first off. Championship contender Daniel Hemric falls from 2nd to 7th with a slow stop.

Green flag, Custer is clean by a car lengths into turn one. Nemechek has a fender on Reddick. Nemechek carries the high side momentum off the corner and takes 2nd off turn two.

John Hunter Nemechek works by Christopher Bell to take over 2nd. Custer leads by 1.8 seconds.

10 to go in stage two, Hemric is moving forward after the bad pit stop. He’s up to 5th. Justin Allgaier puts a mark on the wall.

3 to go in stage two, Custer leads by just 0.4 seconds. Nemechek is coming. Nemechek is right against the wall. Nemechek moves to the bottom. That doesn’t work, back to the top he goes.

Cole Custer holds on to win stage two! That’s 90 laps led, a sweep of the weekend so far.

Stage 2

Laps: 45

Custer leads the field the the pit entry line. 14.8 seconds stop for Custer, he falls to 3rd! Nemechek and Bell will set the front row for the restart.

Green flag, they’re even into turn one. Bell gets loose in the center and Nemechek drives by on the outside.

Lap 99, Custer has a run on Bell off turn four. He looks to the inside off the corner and completes the pass into turn one. That’s a pass for the championship lead.

Lap 125, Reddick has just moved by Christopher Bell to take 3rd. He’s running an inch from the outside wall. He’s painting it every once in awhile. But, he’s the fastest car on the track by several tenths.

Bell is on the bottom. He’s lost the balance of his car. Bell is sideways off the corner.

Lap 142, Christopher Bell heads to pit road. This will begin the green flag pit cycle. Big adjustment in the left rear. Lap 143, Reddick comes to pit road.

Lap 146, John Hunter Nemechek pits from the lead. Hemric follows him in. Cole Custer remains on the race track. Lap 147, Custer heads to the pit lane.

Reddick cycles to the lead! Bell trails him by 1 second. Nemechek is 3rd and Cole Custer is in 4th. Custer has the newest tires of all of them.

Bell is looking for the lead! He’s working the bottom. Reddick is glued to the wall. Reddick clips the wall! Bell drives by on the bottom, new leader. Custer trails the leader by 2.7 seconds.

40 to go, Reddick is coming. The speed has returned on the top. Bell moves up to block! Custer moves to 3rd.

38 to go, Bell to the middle in turn three. Reddick has a run. Bell shuts the door. Reddick gives him a shove. 37 to go, Bell goes back to the middle. Reddick gases up the center of the corner and he gets to the right rear. Reddick is clear! He retakes the lead.

36 to go, Cole Custer sweeps around Bell. Reddick leads Custer be 1 second. 33 to go, Reddick is opening the gap. Custer moves up to the wall as Reddick drives away. It’s the first time Custer has been up there all night.

22 to go, Reddick tags the wall again. 20 to go, Sadler has a vibration, he heads to the pit lane. This is the last race for Elliott Sadler. 19 to go, Christopher Bell tags the wall.

15 to go, Reddick leads Custer by 5.5 seconds. All four championship contenders are in the top five in the closing laps.

10 to go, Christopher Bell has a flat tire. He heads to the pits under green.

Tyler Reddick wins the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. At the same time he’s the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion!
