Josh Richards to the #14 for Clint Bowyer Racing on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour for the 2019 dirt late model season
Yesterday, it was announced that Best Performance Motorsports would have a new driver for 2019. Tyler Erb will fill that seat.
Today, it has been announced that Josh Richards will move to the #14 for Clint Bowyer Racing. He will be replacing Darrell Lanigan at the North Carolina team.
The team will also make the switch from Club 29 Chassis to Rocket Chassis.
“I’m excited to get Josh (Richards) in the No. 14 car, he will be a great addition to our team,” said CBR owner Clint Bowyer. “Josh will bring tremendous talent and knowledge to our team. He’s a proven champion and winner in dirt late model racing. With the support of our great partners, and the backing of Rocket Chassis, I’m looking forward to the 2019 season.
“As we prepare for 2019, I want to thank Darrell Lanigan for the countless hours he’s put in for us being a great driver and great chassis provider. He was a great asset to CBR, and helped us advance our program. We wish him the best of luck in the future,” Bowyer concluded.
Josh Richards is the 2017 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion. He finished 2nd in the standings in the 2018 season. The CBR team will continue to run full-time on the LOLMDS tour.
“I’m really looking forward to driving for CBR and competing for another LOLMDS championship in 2019,” explained Richards.
“I’ve been blessed to race for some of the best teams in the industry and CBR is no exception. Clint (Bowyer) has proven his passion for racing and fielded championship-caliber teams for over a decade. I’m excited for us to join forces and start our partnership together,” Richards concluded.
