Main Event
Report
The top eight have been inverted. Ricky Thornton Jr and Devin Moran set the front row for the main event.
The field lines up in front of the Iowa dirt racing crowd. The 25 lap main event is up next…
Green flag, Thornton gets the jump. He leads on the inside into turn one.
Lap 2, Moran hits the cushion in turn one. He pulls to the right rear of Thornton off turn two. Thornton leaves the lane open and Moran drives by on the outside.
Lap 5, Davenport has trouble in turn one. Heavy front end damage as he worked the inside berm and it dug into the track. The caution is out and he heads to the pits. Davenport doesn’t return and the point leader will be credited with last in this one.
Green, Moran gets the jump. He’s clear by two car lengths into turn one.
Erb drives it deep to the bottom. He pulls even with Moran and completes the pass in turn three. Clanton takes over 2nd.
Lap 13, Clanton is on the bumper of the leader in turn one.
Erb heads for the top as Clanton rolls the bottom. Clanton is clear off turn two.
Pierce is running over the inside berm, the same line Davenport was running earlier. He looking for patches of moisture but he bounces across the inside of the track as he does it.
