Final Practice – Report
Duration: 50 minutes
Toyota is on track early. But, they’re in a small group of cars. This group has a hard time working on pack runs as none of the manufactures want to run together.
30 minutes remain, there’s a lot of single car runs being made. The first session saw large groups, almost the whole time. There’s not a lot of that going on here. The next session is qualifying, tomorrow.
Halfway
Ryan Newman is quickest at the halfway point.

20 minutes remain, three of the Stewart-Haas Racing cars run single file around the bottom. Three cars within Team Penske have joined the track and tagged onto their line as well.
Many drivers are complaining of handling issues in traffic. However, there’s not much of an opportunity to work on that in this round of practice.
10 minutes remain, Clint Bowyer sits at the top of the times sheet. However, the average lap speed is down a full 2mph from the session just a few hours earlier. That’s all because we haven’t seen many large packs in this session.
5 minutes remain, many teams have shut it down and called it a day. Joey Logano is on track making a run by himself.
