Tyler Reddick: “I had a little fight there with some people. It was a little bit of fun.”
On Saturday, Kansas Speedway hosted the NASCAR Xfinity Series in Kansas City, Kansas. It was a high intensity race in the NASCAR Xfinity Playoffs.
Tyler Reddick and Cole Custer made contact on the track. Custer got the worst of it.
After the race, both drivers walked toward each other on the pit lane. Custer dropped his hand on the shoulder of Reddick.
Immediately, Tyler Reddick grabbed Cole Custer by his racing suit and began pushing him backwards.
A rather funny part is that it doesn’t look like either of them threw a punch. First, Reddick brushed off Custer’s hat. In return, Custer brushed off Reddick’s hat.
The drivers remained locked together until both of them tumbled to the ground. Crew then jumped into the scene as well.

“Yeah, I was just frustrated that he can’t keep his car on the bottom then runs us up into the wall,” Cole Custer stated after the altercation.
“If he wants to wreck cars and put them in the wall from time to time, that’s fine. But, when it affects me, I’m not going to be very happy with it.”
“I just went over to talk to him and say that. I put my hand on him and he just went berserk.”
“I thought we had a shot to win. Just, a lot of things went wrong.”
“I went up just to yell at him. But, I put my arm on his shoulder and he went berserk. So, I guess, you don’t wanna do that to Tyler,” Custer concluded.

“I understand Cole’s frustration 100%. We’re trying to lock ourselves into Homestead. He came up to put a hand on me and I put a hand on him back.”
“That’s just how it’s going to be if we’re going to have a conversation that way. I’m out of breath. I had a little fight there with some people. It was a little bit of fun.”
“Not the end of the race that our guys are looking for. But, I think a lot of Cole and his driving ability and a lot of that team.”
“It’s just heat of the moment. We’re pissed off. I’m sure we’ll talk about it here soon. Maybe today, tomorrow. Who knows, maybe have a beer over it. We’ll talk about it then.”
“Obviously, didn’t want to get in his quarter panel. But, if I lift, I get passed. So, I hate that it happened to him. But, we’ll try to move forward.”
“Both of us have a lot left to lose in this deal. If we take each other out. Neither one of us get to Homestead. I feel like we both deserve to be there,” Reddick concluded.
