The Winter Series for dirt late models made a stop in Georgia (Video)
We’re going dirt late model racing in December. Lavonia Speedway in Georgia is set for the third round of the Xtreme DIRTcar Series.

Lavonia Speedway is a 3/8-mile oval with semi-banking. The track was re-surfaced with new clay as recently as 2017.
Chris Madden has swept the first two races of the series thus far. He’ll start 5th in this one. He’ll have some work to do if he wants to make it three in a row.
Lavonia Main Event
Report
Green flag, Zack Mitchell and Logan Roberson run side by side into turn one. They reamain side by side off turn two.
Mitchell drives it deep to the bottom in turn three. He slides up the track and clear off turn four.
Most of the field moves to the bottom in a hurry. Kyle Strickler is one of the few working the top for 3rd.
Caution.
Green, Mitchell leads. GR Smith moves to 2nd on the bottom as they run bumper to bumper behind him. Slow corner for Smith.
Lap 10, the caution is out.
Green, Mitchell is clear by several car lengths out of turn two. Trent Ivey is all over GR Smith for 2nd. Madden runs 5th but he’s looking for a hole.
Caution.
Green, Mitchell leads. Ivey runs even with GR Smith into turn one for 2nd. Ivey slides him clear, Smith attempts to cross under him into turn three but can’t reclaim the spot.
GR Smith moves to the top. They run side by side with Madden behind.
Lap 23, Avery Breedlove is up in smoke and the caution is out. Rear end issues for him.
Green, Mitchell leads by a car length into turn one. Madden works to the outside of Logan Roberson off turn two but Roberson shuts the door anyway. They make contact.
Madden crosses under Roberson into turn three. Madden works back to the outside as they return to turn one. This time he’s clear for 3rd off turn two.
2 to go, Mitchell leads by 5 car lengths.
