It’s been an exciting week for NASCAR Cup Series rookie John Hunter
John Hunter Nemechek is the son of NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek. He was crowned the 2012 champion in the Allison Legacy Series.
In 2013, he made his debut in the NASCAR Truck Series. He claimed his first win in 2015 which was followed by two more in 2016 and another two wins in 2017.
For 2018, Nemechek moved up to run a partial schedule in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He claimed his first win in the devision that year at Kansas Speedway for Chip Ganassi Racing.
In 2019, he ran a full NASCAR Xfinity Series season with GMS Racing. He collected a best finish of 2nd.
It’s been a busy week for the 22-year-old.
On Tuesday, December 10, it was announced that Nemechek will move full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. He will drive for Front Row Motorsports.
Nemechek is set to compete for Rookie of the Year in the series. He will drive the No. 38 machine.
But, it didn’t stop there.
On Saturday, the NASCAR driver revealed via social media that he is now engaged to Taylor Stier.
