Main Event
Report
Light track prep is going on ahead of the final race of the night. The water truck makes laps as fans wait with high anticipation.
The first main event is set to roll to the race track. 30 laps of dirt midget racing will cap off night one of the show.
Cannon McIntosh and Tyler Courtney lead the field the the line. The fans stand to their feet.
Green flag, McIntosh pops a wheelie at the launch. He drops it and pops it right back up but he leads on the bottom into turn one.
Lap 3, McIntosh leads by 3 car lengths. 2nd-5th run the cushion. McIntosh runs the bottom.
Lap 5, Aaron Reutzel has found speed around the top. He evaporates the gap to the leader as the high side is the place to be. Reutzel drives right by on the outside lane.
Lap 10, Dustin Golobic tangles with another car just ahead of the race leader. Golobic begins to roll across the track. Reutzel was mid slider on a lap car. He he drifted to the cushion, he had nowhere to go but into the side of the upside down Golobic.
The caution is out. The race leader will go to the tail.
Green, Cannon McIntosh leads into turn one on the cushion. Tyler Courtney holds 2nd.
Lap 11, four cars tangle and the caution is back out. One jumped the cushion, as he checked up, several cars got into the back of him.
Green, McIntosh leads. Pickens slides Courtney. They continue to trade sliders and Courtney holds the spot.
Lap 14, Leavitt is stopped against the outside wall and the caution is back out.
Green, McIntosh leads. Pickens attempts another slider on Courtney but he can’t clear him this time.
Lap 20, Hendricks stops after rolling over the cushion and Hall is left with nowhere to go. As Hall clips him, he’s sent skyward. The caution is out yet again.
Green, McIntosh leads. Courtney and Pickens trade 2nd once again.
Lap 22, Reutzel is back up to 7th. Brady Bacon was running 8th and he’s now stalled on the track.
Green, McIntosh leads. They run three wide for 2nd. Trey Marcham is taken four wide just behind them. They run out of room and Marcham is forced to climb the fence by Reutzel. The red flag is back out.
Green, McIntosh holds the lead. Courtney pops a wheelie at the line but he drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. Courtney slides McIntosh for the lead.
McIntosh cuts off the cushion and swings under him off turn two. McIntosh leads into turn three.
3 to go, McIntosh leads by a half second. Reutzel drives into the top 5.
