NASCAR starting lineup for race two at Darlington Raceway
Race one is in the books at Darlington Raceway. On Wednesday night, the NASCAR Cup Series is set to return to Darlington, South Carolina for round two at the same track.

On Sunday night, NASCAR returned for the first time in 71 days. The race marked the return of major auto racing in America.
The event was held without fans in attendance. Teams were limited to 16 crew members and multiple health and safety guidelines were put in place amid a pandemic.
The field was set via random draw for Sunday. This was a result of no practice or qualifying sessions.
Kevin Harvick was able to take the win in NASCAR’s return.

Wednesday night racing
NASCAR is now in a stretch of nine races in fifteen days. Four of those are NASCAR Cup Series events. Their making up for lost events in the previous ten weeks.
Race length: This race will be near 25% shorter than Sunday’s event with 228 laps this time around. Stage 1 will be complete at lap 60 and stage two will conclude on lap 125.
Rules Package: The 550 horsepower package is in place this week. It includes a tapered engine space, aero ducts and high downforce.
For Wednesday, the field will be set a little different than it was on Sunday. This time, the field will be inverted based on the results from the last race.
Starting positions 1-20: The top 20 finishers from the May 17 event at Darlington will be inverted for the start of the May 20 race.
Starting positions 21-40: The bottom 20 finishers from the May 17 event at Darlington will start from their finishing positions for the start of the May 20 race; any new entries will be placed at the tail of the field.
Ryan Preece is set to start from the pole position on Wednesday night. Sunday’s race winner, Kevin Harvick is scheduled to start in 20th.
